Maintenance Planner - Plaster Rock, NB

We are pleased to announce that our Plaster Rock Operation is seeking committed individuals to join our team to work full-time as a: Maintenance Planner

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be a safety leader; adhere to and sponsor safety and environment rules and procedures.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate Maintenance activities with active participation of the maintenance team.
• Prepare preventive maintenance plans that are aligned with the organization’s maintenance goals.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors.
• Develop total job cost estimate and generate work orders aligned with job estimate.
• Maintain liaison with field supervision and other management regarding work execution, necessity of altering schedules, and manpower status.
• As the Maintenance Planner you will receive work requests and work orders through CMMS that require planning.
• Maintain parts inventory, records and files essential to maintenance.
• Assist and support the maintenance manager.

Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment maintenance practices, preferably within the lumber industry.
• Prior experience with maintenance planning and scheduling is preferred.
• Working knowledge of effective preventative/predictive maintenance methodologies and processes.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel and working knowledge of CMMS software.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work safely and effectively in a highly interactive / energetic team environment.
• Detail and results oriented and ability to function under pressure.
• Ability to think analytically, tactically, and strategically.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize numerous tasks with conflicting deadlines.
