Lumber

Lumber, a unique renewable resource for construction projects.

Why build with wood ?

• Lumber production requires much less energy.

• Wood, which captures and stores carbon, also removes a considerable amount of CO2 from the atmosphere, since one cubic metre (m3) of wood can store around one tonne of CO2. The use of wood in construction projects therefore makes an effective contribution to the fight against climate change, by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

• Wood is an excellent thermal insulator and has remarkable acoustic properties.

• Wood is a renewable resource and the best choice of material.
